What does the term “licensee” mean?
Any business engaging in financial advice services must hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). This determines the scope of permitted activities, adherence to a compliance regime and the overall manner in which business is conducted. The company holding the licence is called the “Licensee”.
Who is Mont Partners?
Mont Partners is a licensee company owned and operated by three separate businesses: WealthCo Advisory*, Wealth Management Partners and Assurity Financial Planning.
What is the relationship between Mont Partners, WealthCo Advisory*, Wealth Management Partners and Assurity Financial Planning?
Mont Partners holds an AFSL, and grants authority for Authorised Representatives to perform financial services under the Mont Partners licence.
WealthCo Advisory*, Wealth Management Partners and Assurity Financial Planning are all Authorised Representatives of Mont Partners.
WealthCo Advisory*, Wealth Management Partners and Assurity Financial Planning remain separate practices.
